Roka Charlotte Street – Roking my world

Seeing as it’s already been 5 days since my last visit, I was having withdrawal symptoms from this place. And I mean who wouldn’t huh? This food is.something.else.

Roka on Charlotte Street, is one of my favourites in Fitzrovia. It’s stylish, sexy and has incredible Sushi, some of the freshest and tastiest in London. All my favourite dishes in the world are in this place, and I ordered them again here. Eel Maki, Prawn Maki, Tempura prawns, Chicken Yakitori and Salmon Sashimi. All melt in your mouth, little parcels of deliciousness. Perfection!

I could sit here for hours pouring of this incredible food. But I only had just over an hour for lunch here, which believe me, as awesome as it is, for me, its not nearly enough time. A non drinking lunch, as its a week day, meant that it was water for me and my friend. No wine this time. But we never had to ask once for a refill, always a good attentiveness sign that even the tap water gets refilled without asking. The waiters and waitresses here are on point, they are very well presented and super friendly. Another one of the reasons why I love this place so much. For me service is as important as the food itself, and Roka doesn’t disappoint on either.

We even got brought over to try their infused vodka, (25% proof to knock anyone for six) a plum and a jasmine flavour. Obviously aware we weren’t drinking today, it was still a very lovely gesture and presented beautifully. I did have a couple of very small sips, it tasted insanely good. Best kept for a night out, or weekend lunch.

Again, as with most incredible places, do book in advance, even for lunch. So you don’t get disappointed. It’s a lovely way to break up the week and indulge in some great food. I’m already missing it!
